12:00 P.M. EST Thursday 1 January 2026 for today tonight and Friday.
The next scheduled forecasts will be issued at 12:00 P.M. Friday.

Western Lake Superior.
Open water except 5 tenths thin lake ice along parts of the shore.
Consolidated medium lake ice including 2 tenths thick lake ice in
Black Bay, Chequamegon Bay, and Nipigon Bay. 

Eastern Lake Superior.
Open water except 2 tenths new lake ice along parts of the shore. 

Whitefish Bay.
Open water except 4 tenths thin lake ice along parts of the shore.
Consolidated thin lake ice along parts of the shore. 

North Channel.
6 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake ice. Consolidated
medium lake ice along parts of the shore and in the St. Marys River.

Northern Lake Huron.
Open water except 7 tenths new lake ice including 1 tenth medium
lake ice along parts of the shore. Consolidated thin lake ice
including 2 tenths medium lake ice along parts of the shore. 

Southern Lake Huron.
Ice pressure warning in effect.
Open water except 6 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake
ice along parts of the shore. 9 plus tenths thin lake ice including
4 tenths medium lake ice in Saginaw Bay. Consolidated medium lake
ice along parts of the shore. 
Strong ice pressure along parts of the Saginaw Bay shores easing
this evening.

Northern Georgian Bay.
Open water except 9 tenths thin lake ice along the northern shore.
Consolidated thin lake ice including 2 tenths medium lake ice along
parts of the shore. 

Southern Georgian Bay.
Open water except 8 tenths thin lake ice along parts of the shore.
Consolidated thin lake ice including 2 tenths medium lake ice in
Severn Sound. 

Lake St. Clair.
7 tenths new lake ice including 1 tenth thin lake ice except 9
tenths thin lake ice in the eastern section. Consolidated thin lake
ice including 2 tenths medium lake ice in the extreme eastern
section. 

Western Lake Erie.
1 tenth new lake ice except 6 tenths thin lake ice in the western
section. 

Eastern Lake Erie.
Open water except 7 tenths new lake ice along parts of the shore. 9
tenths new lake ice including 3 tenths thin lake ice in Long Point
Bay. 

Western Lake Ontario.
Open water except 2 tenths new lake ice along parts of the shore. 

Eastern Lake Ontario.
Open water except 3 tenths new lake ice including 1 tenth thin lake
ice along parts of the shore. Consolidated medium lake ice in
sheltered bays and in the Bay of Quinte. 

Northern Lake Michigan.
Open water except 9 tenths thin lake ice including 1 tenth medium
lake ice along the northern shore. 9 tenths medium lake ice in the
Straits of Mackinac. 

Southern Lake Michigan.
Open water except 2 tenths new lake ice along parts of the shore. 

Green Bay.
7 tenths new lake ice including 2 tenths thin lake ice except 9
tenths medium lake ice south of Marinette. Consolidated medium lake
ice in Bays de Noc and southern Green Bay.
