Call for Abstracts for AMS 2023 Session Topic: “Advancements in Operational and Scientific Sea Ice Applications”

SUITLAND, MD - U.S. National Ice Center (USNIC) requests all cryosphere professionals to consider submitting an abstract to the USNIC’s session, “Advances in Operational and Scientific Sea Ice Applications,” at the American Meteorological Society (AMS) 2023 annual meeting, January 8-12, 2023 in Denver (and online). All are encouraged to consider an oral presentation.

This session will be a part of AMS’s 13th Conference on Transition of Research to Operations. A session description and other details can be found on the AMS website: AMS 2023

Interested parties are encourage to reach out to the USNIC’s Walt Clark at walter.clark@noaa.gov for more information. The deadline for submission is currently August 24, 2022.

USNIC is a multi-agency center—subordinate to Naval Oceanography—operated by the Navy, NOAA, and Coast Guard and provides global to tactical scale snow and ice products, ice forecasting, and related environmental intelligence services for the United States government.

Naval Oceanography directs and oversees more than 2,500 globally-distributed military and civilian personnel who collect, process, and exploit environmental information to assist Fleet and Joint Commanders in all warfare areas to make better decisions faster than the adversary.
